GARY'S

    ARTIST'S STATEMENT:

   "Although I am primarily self taught as an artist, I do have an AA Degree in Illustration.  I studied under nationally known sports artist Ted Watts, graduating in 1987. I have been self publishing my own prints since the early 90's.  I now have approximately two dozen prints on the market.  My subject matter is pretty diverse.  I have everything from wildlife, to sci-fi, to commissioned portraits.  My wife Sherry is also an artist that specializes in dog portraits.

   I started out doing commission portraits, and from these, progressing to personal works which I eventually turned into prints.  The majority of my work is in graphite although I do work with airbrush and acrylic paint."
