KAREN'S

    ARTIST'S STATEMENT:

"I have heard it said that painting is often a spiritual experience.  As we are a creation of body, soul and spirit, we must create by an artery of the three entwined.  Naturally, I am drawn to all of creation and moreover, The Creator.  I believe that it is for and by Him, that we do all good things."

Karen's art interest began early as a child; and so formal private lessons began as a child as well.  College level art studies continued while Karen also earned degrees in education and social work.  Although many of her works have been collected over the years, it has been just since exhibiting publicly 1998, that she not only has received seven first place awards in juried and non-juried arenas, but has also recently rendered a book cover for a new national field guide by author Linda Runyon, to be released in the fall of 2001.

"Standing in her studio the first time, I felt much as I did when I worked at the beginnings of the Bayhead Cultural Center.  Being privileged to hang the works of Winslow homer, Norman Rockwell as well as both father and son Wyeths, my knowledge of art was enhanced.  in Karen's studio I saw many skills in all media.....her exciting color combinations, yet soft emotional paintings are truly exceptionally skillful.  I feel privileged to display such a painting on the cover of my new national field guide."

Karen has personally signed her giclee prints and two pieces, "I Am" and "From Mother's Garden" are currently being offered in limited edition prints"  When you purchase any one of these pieces, you will very well be pleased with the quality and the workmanship of the piece and the framing.  Each piece is framed in neutral matting and the elegant wood frames accent any decor or any room.  And look at the size of the pieces, they are large enough to create a focal point of interest and color in each room where they are displayed!!!

"By offering only the very best in quality, it is my way of praising God.....for after all, his word is clear..."Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee."  it is my prayer that you, too, in all you do, are offering Him this perfect sacrifice.....the perfect sacrifice of praise."   Karen Ricciuti

Please all approximately four to six weeks delivery for each piece.

About Giclee......

Giclee has become a feature in prominent museums such as the Guggenheim and the Smithsonian as they have hosted exhibitions featuring these highly brilliant and luminous representations of an artist's work.  The heavy papers used are "molded" cottons made in England and are neutral PH.  Special "Equipoise" inks have been extensively tested for longevity.  These details are some of the reasons why you can rest assured that when you are purchasing a "giclee", you are purchasing a piece for life...one of museum quality and of lasting endurance.  You can trust this.
