WELCOME! Do you want to list your art on my Christian Website? First read this short 'want I need' info page, if it looks ok to you, drop me an email with a sample of your work. Please, this website is for Christian's, followers of Christ, that's the idea here. I started this Christian Art Gallery online a few years ago with the intent of putting out there Fine Art made by the hands of artists that pray to the Almighty God to sell. How cool can that be? To have Art in your home created by one of the Creator’s children? Wonderful. So that’s what I did, it also gave me a forum to show my own art. We have had many visitors (although my counter went back to zero this year so I no longer know how many) and have been up since year 2000. What I have found over time though, is that people don’t actually purchase art of the net. Art is a personal thing that needs to be touched and seen in person, with a sales rep of a physical gallery. So what do we have left for online galleries? A place to send potential patrons to view your style, to read your bio, to make yourself appear a professional legitimate artist, to provide contact info for people viewing your art on the other side of the world, a place to send people if your run an ad in a magazine, a website address to put on your business card, a brochure, a postcard.. That works. Each page has the email of the artist themselves so that if there is inquiry by a possible patron they can contact you.
Most of the art samples that are on the gallery site are the same that the artists put on originally, remember we are showing our styles with contact info. I do not charge the artists anything past the initial listing, which I do charge $30 for my time to put you up. Cash, check, or Paypal ( fineartmarcella@kc.rr.com) will do, then your pages stay up until I die or stop, which I have no intentions of doing. I plan to have this gallery up many more years, no guarantee, but it should.
If you wish to list your art on Livinggallery, this is what I need you to do. First go to any of the artist’s page and see how it is set-up. Valibhav Gaikwad’s page Is a good example on http://www.livinggallery.cc/gaikwad,vaibhav.htm I need certain items from you, can't get past it, this is a nice looking website and I intend to keep it that way, so your must comply to my wishes... I need you to send me either by attachment or snail mail: A head shot Good crisp well done photos of each your art you want on the site, not pictures of your art laying on the grass or leaning against the car, good photos or they won't be put up! If you lay a nice ironed sheet over something to use as the back drop in a 'flowy' way, take it out in the edge of shade (within the shade) and photo a straight shot of your work, not a picture leaned back, but straight on. Send those photos to me at fineartmarcella@kc.rr.com or Marcella Smith, po box 4072, Overland Park, KS 66204, I’ll put up 5 art pieces and their pages along with your Home page, for the initial $30, add $5 for each additional art piece page up to 10. I need an Artist’s statement from you to put after your list of art pieces on your home page. A description of each art piece you send with purchase info, dimensions, etc. Your contact info you want listed on your pages. Any other stuff you want on your home page,
Nothing can go in that is pornographic, NO NUDES, or hateful type art, no dark art, nothing that I would not show my 4 year niece, remember this is a Christian website, I make the final decisions on everything, including your rejection of placement on the site. This is just an honest Christian site to help all of us show our art and become better known, to look more legitimate, more professional. I’m not trying to shock the world with tragic art, or support people who have hidden agendas. Just a simple Christian Art Gallery that started when I wanted my own stuff up, I have to pay for the site regardless of who else is on it, so I am helping other Christian artists, and it doesn’t cost me anything to add yours, that’s why I don’t charge mthly or yearly charges, just something to pay for my initial time. Well, then as you can see on this page: http://www.livinggallery.cc/ARTISTS.htm I will also need you to decide on what piece you want as the thumbnail shot, and a quick 1-2 sentence statement to put next to it like you see on the other Artists spot there.
You need to do this all your self, I am not charging enough to cover your design, just look at what is on the site and glean from that. Add your passions or what ever to your page, it will follow your Artist’s Statement, sometimes the more you tell patrons about yourself, the more ‘real’ you become. Just keep it all ‘G’ rated, this is only about being an Artist, it's not your personal blog or dating services, PLEASE! Remember, I make all final decisions on my website!
If you can send me how your want your Home page info to look, on WORD then that would be perfect, then I will just copy/paste it on. Artists Statement first, then anything else you want on that Home page, in order, how you want it. Once I get it online you can look at it and see if you want to change things around, I’m ok with that, I do it all the time, just send me an email. I can replace art pieces for you every once in a while, please don’t ask too often. Remember this gallery will be more of a place for people to see your style, rarely is anything ever sold, most of the art I have on my own pages have been sold, but that doesn’t matter, most of my patrons just want a place to go look at my style and I look like a legitimate artist by being online. There is even a page for Testimonies, I can add yours if you would like. Also, with your stuff, in that email, I need you to state permission for me to put you online on my website.

PS - Best place I have found for cheap good quality business cards is www.Vistaprint.com Once you are up, you can copy/ paste your URL for your business cards, or get a domain name and point it towards the URL, as I said, I plan to keep this site up for at least another decade.
