Due to people abusing the charity of this ministry by putting the webaddress on websites and chat rooms, we are now bankrupt. We also found many people requesting Bibles to 'collect' them even though they already had one! Whole congregations were targeting us to supply their entire ministry with Bibles, one at a time! Shipping Bibles out of USA at the cheapest media/surface rate costs from $6.50 - $8.00 USD each Bible and we were overwhelmed with Bible requests from certain other countries. Had requests keep at our designed slower pace we may have been able to make it, but when we were getting 2-3 requests to foreign countries a day, there was no hope left. We have received only one donation of $5.00 this entire year of 2003, so we personally have been buying all the Bibles and paying for the high shipping costs by ourselves after we paid our own personal bills and bought food, it became overwhelming. PLEASE READ BELOW! FREE BIBLE MINISTRIES accepts donations, but is no longer considered a 'non-profit' organization. One of the rules for maintaining 'non-profit' status with the I.R.S., is that the donations exceed the contributions of the owner. Donations have been so poor that they dropped below my own contributions and we lost this important status. We are now considered a 'private foundation'. With this status comes the inability for your donation to be a tax deduction to you. Please donate to this ministry anyway without this added benefit of a tax deduction. I have felt strongly lead by the Holy Spirit to create and run this ministry that provides Free Bibles to anyone who requests and needs one, and have been doing this for over 6 years. I have sent Bibles to Russia, Pakistan, India, Australia, and more. About half go to people in need right here in the wonderful USA. It is sooooo needed for people to read the Word of God so that they can learn about their Savior and God. There are so many distorted truths and lies that put these poor and soul starving people in a position to be soulfully abused by people who do not care. With out the Word of God in a persons mind, evil can flourish. Please help. Each Bible sent out, including the postage costs from around $4.00 to $13.00, depending on what part of the world it will be going to. I run this small Ministry like a 'non-profit' organization, with only 5% going to administrative costs. That is only .50 cents out of a $10 donation, the rest, $9.50, goes for the purchase and shipment of the precious Bibles.
